Although this event is happening December 7 and 14 from 1 to 5 p.m., Santa will only be present on the first date, so plan ahead!
Ready for a holiday parade like no other? The City of Acworth's Light Up Main Golf Cart Parade can't be missed! Set to take place on December 18 at 6 p.m., the city goes all out to bring holiday cheer and merriment with golf carts decked in red, green and lots of lights.
Calhoun
The City of Calhoun's Christmas Parade of Lights takes off on December 12 at 7 p.m., promising holiday enchantment for the whole family. The parade includes whimsical floats sponsored by local businesses, schools and civic organizations, as well as an appearance by Santa himself! Back again for its second year, the Snowman Spectacular is your destination for family-friendly fun this season! On December 6, from 4 to 7 p.m., locals and visitors can enjoy food truck treats, "snow-covered" decor and crafts. This event also kicks off the community-wide snowman-building competition with a grand unveiling of this year's entries! From December 6 to 20, cast your vote before the coveted People's Choice and Judges' Favorites awards are announced.
Dallas
Grab your winter coat and some hot chocolate as you head to the annual Invitational Dallas Christmas Parade, hosted by the Paulding County Rotary Club on Saturday, December 7 beginning at 11:30 a.m. The parade captivates its viewers with colorful floats, performances by local groups and a visit from Santa at its conclusion. During the event, children are encouraged to drop off letters to Santa at the Gazebo Trailhead.
Looking for some festive entertainment while you do last-minute Christmas shopping? The Paulding Christkindl Market is jam-packed with local vendors, live music and food trucks. Make sure to add this market to your holiday calendar, happening December 13 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., December 14 from noon to 9 p.m. and December 15 from 1 to 7 p.m.
Gainesville
There is no holiday celebration quite like Christmas on Green Street! This unique event showcases the joy of the season with festive floats, marching bands and a parade of antique cars down Gainesville's Green Street. Beginning at noon on December 8, attendees are welcome to tour historic homes along Green Street, then enjoy live music and food trucks until the parade begins. The annual Rotary Tree Lighting begins shortly after the parade at the intersection of Green Street and West Academy Street.
Just a short drive away, the Flowery Branch Christmas Market is setting up shop on December 12. From 3:30 to 8 p.m., shoppers can browse vendor booths and indulge in seasonal delights. Hapeville
With Christmas right around the corner, the Light Up Hapeville festivities are beginning. The City of Decatur is shining a light on holiday cheer with its annual Tree Lighting on the Square event on December 5 at 6 p.m. There will be caroling, warm refreshments and plenty of merriment for the whole family.
