At Artisan Built, we invite families to "Love Where You
Live," and we build communities that deliver. Even with all the things to do at
home, families still find much in the area to lure them away, especially during
the summer months. Here are a few favorites in and around each of our featured
communities.
At The
Georgian, golf, a water park, playgrounds and a tennis center provide
on-site fun for all ages, including residents of Heritage Pointe,
Artisan Built's 55+ community at The Georgian. But there's plenty more to do in
nearby Villa Rica!
At the Pine Mountain Gold
Museum, visitors can pan for gold, and that's just the beginning. Train
rides and trails on the 27-acre site provide activities for all ages. The
summer calendar is filled with special events, like animal encounters, a
Honeybee Day, Ice Cream and Train days, and Taco Tuesdays.
Little Vine
Vineyards and Winery is reviving West Georgia's wine industry, which
remained dormant from 20th century prohibition until the new
winery's first plantings in 2011. Open Wednesday through Sunday of each week,
the Winery serves wine, as well as craft beers and local cheeses. Most summer
Saturday evenings feature musical guests.
The
MILL Amphitheater is Villa Rica's 1,200-seat amphitheater and event space
hosting concerts, festivals, classic car shows, annual events, comedy
performances and farmers markets. There's always something to do or see, and
it's often free!
In NatureWalk,
residents can cool off at the 13-acre water park after tennis or pickleball on
the community's courts. Adults living in the 55+ Stratford at
NatureWalk may prefer the exclusive pool with swim-up bar. Even with so
much to do in the community, the nearby area beckons with fun of its own.
During the spring and summer, Saturday mornings find many
NatureWalk residents at the Dallas
Farmer's Market, where local farmers and carefully vetted artisans share
their bounty and sell their wares. The market is so popular it has a waiting list
for vendors!
Perennial favorite Kennesaw National Battlefield Park
is a regular for hiking excursions and museum tours. Demonstrations and kids
park programs make it as popular for special activities as it is for everyday
strolls or weekend picnics.
Offering classes, workshops and special events for children
and adults, the Paulding
Fine Arts Association is located in the downtown courthouse, a historic
building constructed in the late 1800s. The Association also showcases local
art and hosts various arts and crafts festivals in downtown Dallas.
